Miracle Deliverance Temple of the New Millennium Church History
The ministry was started in the year 2000 in the home of Apostle and Deacon Powell’s living room. Apostle Powell was led by God after serious prayer, to start the ministry and named it God’s Love Outreach Ministry. Later in that same year they moved with about 10 members to 13th Street in the downtown area of Anniston, AL and remained there for about three years. The ministry grew tremendously within the power of God moving in and delivering many people off of drugs, alcohol, mental disturbances, and just getting people lives in order with God. In 2001, Apostle Powell was ordained and licensed by Bishop Johnnie Felcher of Atlanta, GA as an Apostle. Apostle questioned the title at first, but was willing to do whatever God called her to do, which was being a laborer for the Lord, whether it involved traveling and building ministries for the Lord. The ministry grew out of the building on 13th Street, and God spoke to Apostle to find a larger place. In 2004, the Apostle sent a deacon out to look for a building; he was able to find the building we are currently located in now. The ministry moved shortly thereafter. In 2006, God gave Apostle a vision to outreach to the community, by setting up a house for drug and alcohol abuse recovery, which is a six month program were she help a lot of people through the grace of God to be drug free. It is very successful in that we have graduated some and they are still drug free today. Then the Spirit spoke to her, and she felt led to be an extension of her late father in the Lord, Pastor A. W. Brooks Jr. and named the ministry, Miracle Deliverance Temple of the New Millennium. The format of the ministry has been to start each New Year with a 21 day consecration and revival. We have continued to have the revival for 11 years now. Just this year in 2011 during the 21 day consecration, the Spirit led Apostle to join the ministry with the Worldwide Apostolic Church fellowship.
